Expanded Stops

Starting at the parking lot and visitors' kiosks, follow the interpretive trail through this surviving portion of the battlefield. Visit the wayside markers labeled 1-9 and learn how the battle progressed and its aftermath. Read soldiers' descriptions of the action, discover how Union Generals Stevens and Kearny fell, view the Kearny and Stevens monuments and learn the fate of soldiers wounded in the battle.

There are also several points of interest nearby if you are interested in digging deeper into the area's history. These stops are approximate locations of the events described and are found in a nearby shopping center complex, along busy roads, and in residential neighborhood. Please be careful as you navigate to these locations.
